Interview with Capture the Crown

Australian metalcore outfit Capture the Crown are one of the luckiest up-and-coming bands on the planet right now. In less than three years, their first music video has racked up millions of views, they’ve played sold out shows all across the US, and fans have been picking up their merch left and right.

Since signing to Sumerian Records in 2012, the group has been swamped with new opportunities. They went on their first big tour with Woe, Is Me this past fall and can currently be found opening Of Mice & Men’s winter tour. In addition, the quintet released their debut album ‘Til Death,’ which was produced and mixed by Cameron Mizell (Memphis May Fire, Sleeping with Sirens, Oceana), last December.

We sat down with vocalist Jeffrey Wellfare and guitarist Jye Menzies after the group played a sold out gig in Sacramento, CA. The pair discussed their favorite alcohol, what bands they admire, and what makes ‘Til Death’ worthy of a listen. Check it out below.
