The Hours have unveiled a music video for “I Want More.” The track is taken from the group’s new EP of the same name, which was released in October via Adeline Records.
“The video for ‘I Want More’ features the art of amazing British artist Mat Collishaw and is directed by legendary director Steve Barron, who directed iconic videos ‘Billie Jean’ by Michael Jackson and ‘Take on Me’ by A-ha,” frontman Antony Genn told Spinner. “Mat does these 3-D zoetropes that are just incredible and also the ‘ultraviolet baby’ is from an installation of his. I just love his stuff and he is a friend of mine so was happy to let us use his creations in the video.
“We did the music for Steve’s new movie Treasure Island with Eddie Izzard and Elijah Wood so he dusted off his video director boots for us to return the favor. I had been in London club The Box one night and saw these amazing acrobats that I thought would look wicked with the Collishaw stuff. Steve shot everything at twice the speed so it looked kind of similar to the zoetrope stuff of Mat’s. It all just seemed to work really well and Steve is such an experienced director so you can trust him that he knows what the hell he’s doing! He said my dance moves were better than Jacko’s but I didn’t want to show him up so I toned it down a bit!”
