Opeth have unleashed a music video for their track “The Devil’s Orchard.” The video was created by Phil Mucci. The song comes from the band’s new album, ‘Heritage,’ out now via Roadrunner Records.
Responding to a comment on the video’s Vimeo page, Mucci stated, “I actually turned the project down twice because the time constraints were going to make it impossible. They originally wanted it in 4 weeks! On a modest budget, 4 weeks was going to be impossible. At nearly 7 minutes long — with no band performance to cut to — it was more like making 2 or 3 normal videos. But they loved the concept and video pitch so much that they relented on the deadline and allowed me more time. I literally had to do everything myself. In the end, the whole piece took almost 2 months, including all the shoots and post involved. Needless to say, I’ve been sleeping-in for days ever since I delivered the final!”
