They Might Be Giants Book North American Tour

Following a stop at the Latitude Festival on July 16, They Might Be Giants will be heading back to the States. The group have a few gigs lined up in late July, including a free show at the Williamsburg Waterfront. Their North American tour is set to officially kick off September 8 in New Haven, CT and will run until November 26.

The band’s forthcoming record, ‘Join Us,’ is due out July 19 via Idlewild/Rounder Records.

In a recent interview with Consequence of Sound, co-frontman John Flansburgh explained, “With ‘Join Us,’ it’s just a free-range kind of album on a whole variety of different topics and a whole different batch of unreliable narrators. There is no overarching theme. That blank piece of paper in the typewriter looks mighty blank when you aren’t writing for a big theme like science or the alphabet.”
