Hypnotic rock band The Vacant Lots will set off on their first tour of the West Coast this week.
Joining them on all but one date of the six-show jaunt will be Costa Mesa-based lo-fi pop duo Tomorrow’s Tulips. Post-punk/trip-hop hybrid Exitmusic will also provide support for the tour’s kickoff show at The Echo in Los Angeles. By the time all is said and done, The Vacant Lots will have made their mark on Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Portland, and Seattle.
The Vacant Lots released their first official single, “Confusion/Cadillac,” earlier this year on Mexican Summer. A press release from the band’s management said that they are “in the process of recording new material and expect to have a second single out soon to be followed by a first official album release.”
