Spectrum Returns to the States

Space-rock legend Sonic Boom will bring his band Spectrum back to the US for a spring tour leading up to their appearance at Austin Psych Fest.

The tour begins on April 14 in Baltimore and focuses primarily on the East and West Coasts, with two New York dates, four California dates, and a smattering of dates in other major cities.

Sonic’s band will perform material from Spectrum’s most recent releases, ‘War Sucks’ and ‘Indian Giver,’ as well as tunes from Spectrum’s first three albums and some Spacemen 3 originals.

A variety of bands will join Spectrum for various dates on the tour, including Crystal Stilts, Sleepy Sun, and Asteroid #4.

The Spacemen 3 founder has been collaborating with a number of artists in recent months, including The Red Krayola, Moon Duo, Cheval Sombre, and Animal Collective’s Panda Bear. Panda Bear’s upcoming solo album, ‘Tomboy,’ was mixed by Sonic Boom. Last year Sonic also produced MGMT’s sophomore album, ‘Congratulations.’
