Reel Big Fish and Goldfinger have rescheduled their upcoming South American tour. The jaunt was postponed due to Reel Big Fish frontman Aaron Barrett’s recent trip to the hospital.
A press release stated, “Unfortunately Aaron Barrett (lead singer of Reel Big Fish) was rushed to the hospital this week after suffering severe stomach pains. Doctors determined that Aaron had acute appendicitis, and rushed him into emergency surgery to remove the ruptured organ. According to doctors, Aaron, who remains in the hospital, is doing well and beginning the recovery process. However it will not be possible for Aaron to travel within the next 10 days. We have no choice but to reschedule the tour of Reel Big Fish & Goldfinger to the new dates below.”
In other news, a 3-disc extended version of Reel Big Fish’s greatest hits compilation ‘A Best of Us for the Rest of Us’ is out now via Rock Ridge Music.
