Ra Ra Riot Plot North American Tour

Following the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, Ra Ra Riot will be heading out on a North American tour. The trek begins on August 2 in Hyannis, MA and will come to an end on November 21 in Pittsburgh, PA. Among the extensive list of gigs, the indie rock act are scheduled to headline a free show in Brooklyn on August 5 and make a stop at the Music to Know Festival in East Hampton, New York on August 14. The band will also be performing at Fun Fun Fun Fest in early November.

In other news, bassist Mathieu Santos will release his debut solo album, ‘Massachusetts 2010,’ on August 2 via Barsuk Records. He told Spin, “With Ra Ra Riot, all six of us have very different sensibilities and influences, and because of the nature of our band, there’s a lot of different layers. I was interested in making something that was a bit more sparse; something that was different and I could make all the decisions on my own and follow whatever instincts I was having at the moment.”

Ra Ra Riot’s sophomore album, ‘The Orchard,’ was released in August 2010 via Barsuk Records.
