Scottish post-rock band Mogwai had a busy 2011, what with the release of their album ‘Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will’ and playing 124 shows. They hit a few roadblocks when it came to the North American leg of their tour which was postponed not just once but twice. However, the band’s now announced that they will finally be stateside for a late spring tour. The jaunt starts May 29 in Vancouver, BC at the Commodore Ballroom and the group will knock out 13 other dates across North America before wrapping things up in Chicago, IL on June 20 at Metro. Tickets that people may still have for the Boston and Washington, DC shows will be honored at the door.
“It will likely be the last extensive touring we do for some time so we hope it will be a very special tour,” guitarist/vocalist Stuart Braithwaite said in a recent press release.
