Carl Palmer to Embark on Solo UK Tour

Renowned drummer and percussionist Carl Palmer will be hitting the road later this year on a solo UK tour. Dubbed the Pictures at an Exhibition tour, the 10-date run kicks off on November 24 in Gateshead and will come to an end on December 4 in Milton Keynes.

In a recent interview with the Winnipeg Sun, Palmer said, “I’m going to carry on playing as long as I think I’m getting better. If I can’t sustain the standard that I’ve reached, I’ll stop. So my practice regime is at least 90 minutes a day, whatever happens. Leading up to a tour like this, I only practise things directly involved in the show, just so I remember what I’ve got to play. But I’m still improving. I’m not saying I’m the best in the world. But I’ve been fortunate. I think it’s due to the fact it’s the only thing I’ve ever done. I turned professional when I was 15. And I still enjoy what I do. It’s my hobby, it’s my business, it’s everything. And I think as long as you’re enthusiastic about what you do, you will improve.”
