Illinois-based punk rockers Alkaline Trio will be heading out on their 15th anniversary tour this summer.
In a press statement, singer/bassist Dan Andriano remarked, “We’re looking forward to our 15th anniversary tour this summer. We’re going to really try to put together a set that encompasses everything the band has done over the past 15 years and plan to play some songs that rarely find their way in to the set list. We will also play some songs in an unplugged style similar to what we’ve recently recorded on ‘Damnesia.’ It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
The first leg of the tour starts with an appearance at Summerfest on July 9, followed by a smattering of shows in the Midwest and along the West Coast. The run is scheduled to wrap up in Mesa, AZ on July 24. Additional dates are still being confirmed.
The band’s new record, ‘Damnesia,’ will be available on July 12 via Epitaph Records/Heart & Skull. The effort features a selection of stripped-down fan favorites, a cover of The Violent Femmes’ “I Held Her In My Arms,” and two brand new tracks entitled “Olde English 800” and “I Remember a Rooftop.”
