Adam Franklin & Bolts of Melody will hit the road this week for a brief but long overdue tour in support of what is technically their third record together, ‘I Could Sleep for a Thousand Years’ — though it is the first to be officially credited to Adam Franklin & Bolts of Melody (the first two were released under the name Adam Franklin).
The tour starts off with a performance at the Clean Air Clear Stars festival in Pioneertown, CA (near Joshua Tree), where Bolts of Melody will be the the headlining act on Saturday, September 24. The band gets a break for a couple of days after that, before beginning the tour in earnest on September 28 in Washington, DC. The tour will take them through Philadelphia, New York, Pittsburgh, Dayton and Chicago before winding up in Akron on October 4.
