TV on the Radio will be releasing their fourth studio album, ‘Nine Types of Light,’ on Interscope Records this spring, reports Pitchfork.
After an extensive amount of touring, the band decided to take a break in 2009. “We’ve decided to take, well, the going theory is to take about a year off, because you have to go and live a life and change things up,” frontman Tunde Adebimpe told MTV in September 2009. With the band on pause, guitarist and producer Dave Sitek launched his own project Maximum Balloon and hit the studio with Jane’s Addiction.
‘Nine Types Of Light’ is the Brooklyn outfit’s first album since 2008’s ‘Dear Science.’
TV on the Radio have also confirmed that they will be playing a show at New York’s Radio City Music Hall on April 13.
