As previously reported, Austin-based band …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead will release their seventh album, ‘Tao of the Dead,’ on February 8. To commemorate the release of the record, Trail of Dead will throw a special record release party at Brooklyn venue Littlefield.
Trail of Dead singer Conrad Keely, who has created original art for many Trail of Dead records, will be displaying artwork that he created for ‘Tao of the Dead.’ Additionally, he will be debuting two large scale paintings at the Littlefield show. Keely has reportedly created a graphic novella to accompany the album, in the Steampunk style that characterizes much of his art.
The cover art for ‘Tao of the Dead’ was revealed in stages at the official ‘Tao of the Dead’ site. Other exclusive content, including live acoustic performances of songs from the new record, is also available there.
The record release party at Littlefield will be the band’s only NYC area show until they return in April to kickoff their co-headlining tour with Surfer Blood at Bowery Ballroom. Brooklyn-based indie rockers Takka Takka will be the opening act at the record release party.
