Sky Parade and Silent Pictures Come to New York

Neo-psych outfit Sky Parade and Bay Area-based experimental rock group/filmmakers Silent Pictures will make three appearances in the New York area this week.

On September 29, both bands will play at Brooklyn psychedelic party Perfect Prescription, along with Weird Owl. Perfect Prescription is a monthly event which takes place at an underground venue called Shea Stadium (in tribute to the Mets, whom the owners are long-time fans of), located in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn.

On September 30, Silent Pictures and Sky Parade will play at Williamsburg venue Spike Hill, along with The Netherlands, for Libel’s EP release party.

Finally, the two groups will play at Pianos in Manhattan on October 1, along with Me You Us Them and Desire Lines.

Sky Parade, who are based out of Los Angeles, released their third full-length, ‘Intoxicated,’ in 2010.

Check out two of Silent Pictures’ recent music videos, “Postcards” and “Sandinista,” as well as with Sky Parade’s 2010 video, “I Should Be Coming Up, But I Keep Coming Down.”
