Sigur Rós have revealed an upcoming concert film and double live album, both titled ‘Inni.’ Both works document the post-rockers’ final concert in 2008 at London’s Alexandra Palace before their indefinite hiatus.
The double live album was recorded by engineer Birgir Jón Birgisson and features the band’s entire set from the concert, except for one song. The album will be released by XL Recordings in November.
Vincent Morisset, who collaborated with Arcade Fire on Miroir Noir, shot the concert digitally before refilming the footage multiple times through various filters and objects. The film will premiere on September 3 at the Venice Film Festival. Check out the teaser trailer below.
Sigur Rós’ latest album, ‘Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust,’ was released in 2008 via XL Recordings and EMI.
