Lock your doors and board up your windows, Chicago – Riot Fest just announced three more bands for its sixth annual festival. Anti-Flag, Propagandhi, and OFF! just joined the already explosive lineup that is set to electrify Chicago October 6-10.
This year’s 2010 lineup includes Bad Religion, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Circle Jerks, Articles of Faith, Snapcase, Less Than Jake, The Lawrence Arms, Bouncing Souls, High On Fire, Corrosion of Conformity, Riverboat Gamblers, and many more. This doesn’t even include the secret shows throughout the summer and fall or the rest of the bands that Riot Fest has yet to disclose.
“Riot Fest, Chicago’s multi-band, multi-date, multi-venue celebration of the punk underground past, present and future, is incontrovertibly one of the premier gatherings of its kind in the U.S., if not the world,” said Chicago Sun Times’ Jim Derogatis.
Few descriptions of the festival could top that of Derogatis’. Riot Fest especially displays its distinctiveness from other festivals in its multi-venue format. This year’s bands will storm the stages of Congress Theater, Metro, House of Blues, Double Door, and Subterranean.
It is evident that Riot Fest is respected by both older bands and up-and-coming artists. This year’s Riot Fest is Snapcase’s first gig outside of Buffalo in years. Articles of Faith will reunite with their original lineup for the first time in 25 years, and the Bhopal Stiffs are reuniting solely for the Riot Fest show.
Five day passes are currently on sale. Three day passes and single show tickets will be available to the public on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 12 pm CST.
