Gerry Rafferty Passes Away at 63

Scottish singer-songwriter Gerry Rafferty has passed away at the age of 63.

Before disbanding in 1975, Stealers Wheel — a group which was formed by Rafferty and Joe Egan — released their huge hit “Stuck in the Middle With You.” The song was later featured in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs in 1992 and reached a new generation of fans.

In 1978, Rafferty released one of his most well-known songs, “Baker Street,” off his solo album ‘City to City,’ which went on to sell over 5.5 million copies.

Rafferty’s last album, ‘Another World,’ was released in 2000.

After a long battle with alcoholism and liver failure, Rafferty died at home peacefully this morning, reports the Guardian.
