Dirty Looks lead singer Henrik Ostergaard passed away today (Thursday, January 27) at 9:18 A.M.
Ostergaard formed Dirty Looks around 1985 in San Fransisco, CA. The group’s members changed often, but they were able to self-release an EP and three albums during the early 1980s.
Atlantic Records signed Dirty Looks in 1988 and the band released their full-length ‘Cool From The Wire.’
The California rockers broke up in 1993 following the release of three albums — ‘Turn Of The Screw’ (1989), ‘Bootlegs’ (1991) and ‘Five Easy Pieces’ (1992).
Ostergaard started the band again in 1994 and recorded ‘Chewing On The Bit.’ Following a few more albums, Ostergaard retired from music in 1996.
In 2007, the band reformed and released ‘Gasoline.’ Dirty Looks most recent album, ‘I.C.U.,’ was released in 2010 via Nashville, Tennessee label FNA Records.
Ostergaard is survived by his two children.
