Universal Music Enterprises has announced that to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s legendary sophomore album, ‘Nevermind,’ the record will be reissued as a 4-CD/1-DVD deluxe edition. The additional discs will include rare recordings, outtakes, live performances, and an entire unreleased concert.
‘Nevermind,’ which was originally released in September 1991 via DGC Records, rocketed Nirvana to sudden fame and mainstream success. The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts through the popularity of lead single “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and spawned several other hits, including “Come as You Are,” “Lithium,” and “In Bloom.” Since the first release, ‘Nevermind’ has sold more than thirty million copies.
The 20th anniversary deluxe edition of ‘Nevermind’ will be available on September 19 in the UK and September 20 in North America.
