On September 13, Bush will release ‘The Sea of Memories’ via their own imprint, Zuma Rock Records, through a partnership with eOne Music. The record, which is set to be their first in 10 years, was recorded with producer Bob Rock.
In a press statement, vocalist Gavin Rossdale noted, “When making music, you have a choice to repeat what you’ve done or move on. It would’ve been safe to just rework (1994’s debut album) ‘Sixteen Stone’ over and over, but what kind of life would that be? When you’re driving down the road, you’re focused on what’s in front of you; you don’t really think to keep checking in your rear view mirror. I like the idea of art changing, developing and morphing.”
The British rockers are currently finalizing plans for a fall tour. In the meantime, you can catch the band perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on July 21. Furthermore, they have a sold-out gig lined up at Bowery Ballroom in New York City on July 28 and will be stopping by the Sunset Strip Music Festival in Los Angeles on August 20.
