UK rock act Bloc Party have announced that they will begin writing new material in September.
“Kele and I started working on Bloc Party stuff together and separately,” remarked guitarist Russell Lissack in an interview with NME. “We’re having a bit of a break until the festivals are over, because people have commitments during the summer, but we’re going to get back properly in September and sit in a rehearsal studio to work on new band material.”
Bloc Party’s latest studio album, ‘Intimacy,’ was released in 2008. Since going on hiatus in 2009, the band members have been involved with various side projects.
