Austin Psych Fest Changes Location, Expands Lineup

The Black Angels and The Reverberation Appreciation Society have announced a new location for Austin Psych Fest 4, the annual psychedelic festival which will be taking place the last weekend of April. The event will no longer take place at the Mexitas Event Center, but instead will now be held at the Seaholm Powerplant.

A post on the festival’s website said, “We are extremely excited about the Seaholm Powerplant as it was our first choice going in to APF4 but due to construction plans by the city it became unavailable to us. Everything has now come full circle as the city has decided to postpone construction until the summer and we have been given the green light. The power plant sits on the Colorado River in the heart of downtown Austin. This iconic structure will provide an amazing backdrop to a truly awesome weekend of music.”

More bands have also been added to the lineup, including A Place To Bury Strangers, ZAZA, Weird Owl, Dead Meadow’s Jason Simon, and Germany’s Blue Angel Lounge.

Day passes can be purchased at the APF4 website for $40/day. Weekend passes for $100 are still available, but in limited supply.
